“New Mexico is a beautiful state with abundant resources and lots of opportunities for young professionals, families with children, and retirees. We need to ensure that the legislature is addressing the needs of the entire citizenry and all of our industries in order to strengthen our state and revitalize our economy.”
Conrad James served District 24 in the 50th Legislature from 2011-2012 and worked hard to advocate policies that would ensure a prosperous state for all New Mexicans. During his term, he was a stand-out, carrying important legislation that reduced tax pyramiding in the manufacturing and construction industries and that expanded the use of vote centers to improve voter access and reduce costs. He received two awards during his term in the legislature: the Spirit of Bipartisanship Rising Star Award (from New Mexico First in 2011) and the Soaring Eagle Award (from the New Mexico Association of Counties in 2012).
